The ATU SNA is the local organization of the State and National Student Nurses' Association.
To socialize with, service, and create a community which serves the student through professional activities that are educational and enjoyable. The parent of both organizations is the American Nurses' Association (ANA).
All nursing students are encouraged to become members of the ATU Department of Nursing's Student Nurses' Association (SNA) as a first step toward professionalism.
Registered nurses in the program have a choice of belonging to SNA or the Arkansas Nurses Association (ArNA) or both.
Local SNA membership is $5.00 per year.
National Dues for first time members - $25.00
National Dues for renewal of membership - $30.00
Arkansas Tech nursing students are eligible to seek an office and to serve on state and national student nurse committees. State SNA officers are elected during the Arkansas Student Nurses' Association convention which is held early in the Fall of each year. NSNA application membership forms are available in the Nursing Department office, from the SNA officers, and from the faculty advisors.
